Great weekend getaway

Kelly F. from Henrico, VA
Stayed 2 days ending February 2020

We stayed in a 2BR house with 6 guests near Snowshoe, WV for. Weekend ski getaway. The house was very good space for us - clean, comfortable, and with the added benefit of a hot tub. Although the property was not on the Snowshoe resort mountain, it was just a short drive to get there. 4 wheel drive is a definite necessity. Finding the house after dark and in the snow for the first time was a challenge but we quickly acclimated and could navigate comfortably back and forth. We were pleased with the house, the management company, and the ease of checking in and out.

Spent a long weekend with friends at this property. It was very clean and appointed. The views were amazing and we enjoyed our stay very much.

Great Stay!!

We enjoyed our stay very much! The staff at MVR was great! Very nice, accommodating and very professional. The cabin is very secluded which we loved and pet friendly, which is a MUST for us. It can definitely use a little updating...but definitely not a deterrent. The library down the road was FANTASTIC and much much much appreciated for the days I had to log on and work remotely. Not to mention how gorgeous it is inside and the librarian was probably the nicest person I've met in years! The surrounding areas are beautiful and are a must for the nature lover. Many waterfalls and scenic drives! Would definitely recommend this place and MVR!!

Sky View

This is our 2nd year coming to ski. Ski View is a great place to stay. The roads are a little tricky - a 4 wheel drive is a must! We enjoyed the seclusion and peacefulness. Every day we were met by deer on the road home. The stars at night reminded us of heaven. The hot tub soothed our aching muscles. Some negatives for the homeowners - since we are buying a rental soon - comfortable mattresses would add to the place and a gas fireplace would be even better!

Comfortable stay, great location but the house needs a thorough deep clean (windows, screens, rugs, carpets etc.) and a fresh coat of paint would be nice.
There we only 3 outdoor chairs.
Property management company very helpful,
Professional and efficient.

Everything about the home was disappointing. Dirty dishes in the cabinet, no grill and was advertised as having one, poor lighting, very dirty, washer leaked

Quiet Season in Great House

Laura S. from Alexandra, VA
Stayed 2 days ending October 2016

This house is just as described. It's off the beaten path up a gravel road and is certainly very secluded. My husband and I loved the hot tub and it's great view. The only issue was the place may need a deep cleaning or a refresh of the furniture and pillows. We brought dogs with us, so it's not dog allergies, but we both needed allergy meds and had red itchy eyes whenever we were inside the house. My husband is not sensitive at all to things like this usually, so we were surprised. I'd recommend bringing your own pillows if you can swing it to at least avoid the allergens there.

Thank you for your review we love the seclusion and views there as well! We have since had our deep clean in the unit and replaced the pillows! Thank you again for your reviews, always open to suggestions!
