Not worth the money

The location and cabin was great. However, there was mouse poop EVERYWHERE downstairs, including in the cabinets by the cups. The couch in the upstairs living room needs replaced. It is broken down, leans a certain way therefore is not comfortable at all. Last we were told to place trash in the dumpster to avoid a $50 fee. We had 3 bags of trash. I placed one bag in the yellow can out front. Then drove the other trash to the end of our road to find no dumpster, then drove it down the hill to the homebase and no dumpster. I talked to the lady working in the homebase and told her that I had left trash beside the can and she said "we have to watch for bears, you need to put it in dumpster". I then explained the situation and she replied "I don't know why they took the dumpster off of your road?'Overall, for $955.00 cabin, I would not say it was worth the money. Will find another company to stay with next time. We travel to Cass about twice a year with family.
Water / Leakage problems, older furniture... not a luxury stay

Two of the dining room table chairs have virtually no stuffing in the seat. One of the rails of the spiral steps is very loose. Dishwasher comes out of the cabinet when loading. After it rained, the bottom floor (Apt #2) had SOAKED carpets in the entry and in the only bedroom down there.
First and not Last Stay at the Hutches

We were a group of 12 adults with a mix of ambition to ski, explore, wine & dine, and simply relax. The Hutch 2 gave us just the right amount of space over 2 living rooms and kitchens (with big screen TV's) to spread out and do just that. We cooked, played games, watched football, and had easy transportation via the shuttles to all the mountain offered.

Mountain Valley was extremely helpful and great to work with to make this a great ski vacation. The unit is nice and perfect for me and my friends to stay at.
This was our second year there and we hope to return again next year.
Amazing Location - Few small hitches in this hutch.

First I want to say this this cabin is fun and has lots of space and the location to Western Territory/Powder Monkey lift is super hard to beat. We loved being able to simply walk out the door and be skiing.
I had a few small issues with the property. First - I booked on VRBO. When I reached out to figure out how to get access to the property - the property manager gave me a bit of an earful for using VRBO.
She also said "When are you coming? We got fresh powder last night and i have a feeling the current people aren't going to want to leave".
When we arrived the beds were all a mess, towels were still left from the previous guests and ours were just left in a sack next to the door. We called to see what was up and never received any communication back.
Otherwise the amenities are a little dated/rough around the edges. The dishwasher for example wasn't attached so when you open the door it kind of falls out of the cabinet towards you.
Overall I wanted to be clear that we had a great time and enjoyed our stay. but we had our hiccups.
We will be coming back every year!

Smooth. Clean. Warm. Convenient. Any questions I had were answered immediately. It was truly an incredible experience. Only problem, and it really wasn't a problem because we stayed upstairs, was the den's fireplace was out of gas. I'd live here in a heartbeat if I had that kind of money.
One of my favorite cabins on the mountain

Cant recommend Hutch2, or more importantly Mountain Valley Realty, enough. Debbie and the rest of the team worked with me through a variety of different issues to make sure my vacation was a true 5 star experience.
Hutch 2 really has it all. Great location, views to die for, and (most importantly) consistent sat internet service. No worries about the entire network bogging down during peak hours. The 2nd unit downstairs offers a great escape and more than enough room to take a little break from everything upstairs.
Cant wait to make our return trip 🙂

We are glad we could accommodate you even if it took a little creativity on a very busy weekend! Thank you for your review!

The Hutch 2 was a great place for our group of 9 to stay. We wanted a ski in ski out location and Hutch 2 fit the bill. The bed were great, the living areas where large enough to accommodate our group and the weather couldn't have been better for the skiers in our group. The management was very responsive to our late check in request. We would recommend this rental to other guests.

We ended up at the Hutch at the last minute, and Britney was such a huge help finding us this mountainside gem to stay in! The Hutch was clean, warm, convenient, comfortable, and functional. Though we only stayed one night, I would definitely recommend this place to anybody. The gas fireplace in the downstairs apartment combined with the beautiful mountain view was exactly what I picture in my mind when I think of the perfect mountain getaway. Thank you, Mountain View Realty, for saving our Snowshoe adventure!!

This house was perfect for our stay in Snowshoe over New Years. Close enough to the village that you can walk, Cup Run right in your back yard, and the other slopes not on Western Territory a short walk across the street. Had any and every pot/pan/utensil we could need. Perfect place!
