This house was great for our group ski weekend. We had 15 people and it fit everyone. The house is about a 15 min drive from Snowshoe. It had good WiFi and everything was clean and worked. Hot tub was a nice bonus!

Nice overlook view, private, but close Showshoe

Rental house is well laid out. Can easily accommodate several families or families with teenagers. They could hang out in the lower area which had its own family room. The wrap around desk gave nice views of the area. The cabin is nice an secluded, but a 15 minute ride from snowshoe. Wi-Fi allowed adequate and could use to text family while they were at resort.

Great Mountain Getaway for Families

Check in and finding Eagle Rock was easy - Deb and her team at Mtn Valley Realty are always friendly and were able to check us in a bit early. The house is off of the mountain, a quick 5 minute ride from the Mtn Valley Realty office up a dirt road that requires 4WD in snow. The trip up to the top of Snowshoe takes about 15-20 minutes.
The house itself is spacious and well appointed. There are 5 bedrooms, a small loft space, two living rooms, a kitchenette and an open and inviting kitchen and dining room. The hot tub was great, parking is plentiful, bathrooms large and storage plentiful. The Washer/Dryer was great to clean and dry clothes after a day on the mountain.
We look forward to returning to this house, which is fantastic for multiple families looking to get away together for a few days.

Eagle Rock Stay May 16-19

Nice property in convenient location. Our group of 6 fisherman generally enjoyed our stay at Eagle Rock. The location was easy to find and the house was functional and as advertised. We had one major malfunction that contributed very negatively. We went to use the outdoor grill for Saturday night's steak dinner and found the gas was empty. One of our group went to the effort to go off the mountain and buy a new tank. We hooked it up to the grill and it still would not function. Upon looking at the comments in the guest guide on Sunday as we readied our comments we saw that earlier guests had reported this problem. Not having a grill basically ruined one night's dinner. Also, there was not one knife in the house that would cut anything more solid than hot butter. We would not rent this house again due to these situations which is too bad because it's a nice, large house.

Hi, I saw the work order on the grille come through, apparently a mud dauber (wasp nest) decided to built there nest over the regulator not allowing the grille to work properly. We will look into the knives. Thank you for your input!
a great weekend getaway

We had a wonderful weekend and took the warning to drive four wheel drive vehicles. This is not a recommendation, you really need it if there is a chance of snow. The house was wonderful and great for 13 adults to all be comfortable. There is no cell signal - so plan ahead and print a map in advance. Once there though, it is everything you need to relax and unwind!
Great winter weekend

We had a fantastic weekend at Eagle Rock with a solid group of 25-30 year olds. The house is beautifully designed and has great views off the porch, and the beds are comfortable. I'd highly recommend it and would love to go back - just make sure you do have a capable 4x4 or Subaru or else you might not make the drive up the hill to the place in the winter if there is snow or ice on the ground (as they warn in the description).

We absolutely loved the house! The open floor plan on the main level (living room and kitchen) was great for congregating such a large group of people. The beds were comfortable and the hot tub was already hot when we got there. The view was incredible too! I would definitely stay at this property again if going with a large group.

Mountain Golf Retreat

I'm 58 years old and I've been on many golf vacations in many different areas around the US and beyond. I went with my son and we had a truly splendid time.
Eagle Rock lodge was simply fantastic. There was just the two of us, but we could have had our our whole family and then some - easily a dozen people.
But we were blessed with great golf every day at Ravern GC (amazing), long hot tubs daily, great cook outs, and watching the sunset on the deck every night. The private mountain views were stunning and always changing - mornings often had steam-like clouds rising up from the valleys. This was a totally unique and delightful experience. We fell asleep on the very comfortable couches watching reruns of Frazier and the A Team ! How refreshing. BTW ~ my wife said the real feel in DC was 110 degrees during the day. The temp at Eagle rock was @ 65 to 75 mid July.. Fantastc, attentive rental agent.
