Strong gas smell upon check in to condo
Anonymous from Charleston, WV

Upon checking, we were told heat was not working, but space heaters were set out. When we arrived, there was a strong gas smell. Rental company did not seem to be concerned (and advice was just to call “911”). They moved us to another other condo, but at a location outside the village. Despite follow up, they never offered a discount. And still have not heard from anyone at the company
Great Condo, problems with heating

This is a very well laid-out space in a good location. The positives -comfortable mattresses, nice sheets and blankets, nice bathrooms, well equipped kitchen. The negatives - strange shower in the main bathroom was hard to operate and there were no instructions (multiple shower heads, designed for massages?), the main bedroom window overlooked the main plaza of the village so it was noisy at night and in the morning, and unfortunately for us the heat stopped working - actually started blowing cold air and it was in the 20's outside - and the management company gave us space heaters and the repair was never completed while we were there. So - no central heat for nights 2,3,4 and 5 of our stay(which cost over $4300.00) I asked the management company for a discount - I had to follow up 2 or 3 times - and they agreed to a 10 percent discount. Seems outrageous to charge almost $800 per night for rooms that have to rely on space heaters. We had children in our party and were also a little crowded - the space heaters were in the way and a bit of a hazard. In summary, nice condo with some negatives - and the heat problem was very poorly handled and never resolved.

Place was very close to the ski area, the lockers were in an easy location. Parking inside was not an option with a Suburban.
Very nice condo

Condo was very convenient. Good size 2Br/2Ba with huge covered outside deck. Great sunset views of setting sun on the mountains. Could use a few more kitchen implements, but most basic items present. Ski lockers right beside the exit to the plaza is nice, and the underground parking is great although large vehicles are a squeeze as the spaces are narrow.
For Starbucks fans, you do not even have to go outside, there is a back entrance to the plaza Starbucks right from the lobby of Rimfire!
Mountain Valley Realty is a great company to deal with. I have rented several times through them and been very pleased with their ability to take care of our needs

Perfect place for our stay. The views were incredible, right in the middle of the village, and the perfect amount of space.
First Trip to Snowshoe

We had a fantastic time at Rimfire. We loved 214/215. There were only 4 of us so there was plenty of room. The view was amazing. We had lots of snow while we were there. We LOVED being so close to the slopes. The lodge was clean and having Starbucks in the lodge was a big treat for us. We will definitely come back. We worked with Debbie at Mountain View Realty and she was so kind and accommodating. Great experience all around.

The location was great. It had plenty of room for two adult couples, the separate entrance and bed/bath combination of the one room was great. The rental staff were friendly and helpful.
